Location of Portfield School
Directions From the East
Follow the A40 from Carmarthen to Haverfordwest – keep straight on at the first roundabout (towards the town).
At the second roundabout (County Hall in front of you – round turrets) take 3rd exit turning left at the lights and following the one-way system up the High Street.
At the next lights (at the top of the hill) take the middle lane (bearing right) and keep left. After 100 yards go straight on where the one-way system turns right down the hill.
*** Pass Tesco’s entrance on your left, straight over the mini-roundabout and pedestrian crossing lights. After approx. 400 yards turn left into gateway between the end of the houses and Travis and Perkins builders merchants (there is a small Portfield School sign on right hand side of the main road but it is often pointing the wrong way!).
The large building on your left is Upper School, or take the second right-hand fork down to Lower School.
You can park anywhere in the lay-by at the Upper School between 9.15am and 2.45pm (at other times please ask about parking).
From the South
From Pembroke or Milford Haven – take the A4076 through Johnston and continue North. At Merlin’s Bridge roundabout take the exit leading up Merlin’s Hill towards the town. Keep straight on (passing Tesco’s entrance on your left at the lights). Join the one-way system at the next lights and stay in the left hand lane leaving the one-way system at the first corner.
