The Welsh Assembly Government (WAG) has developed and funded a website to help children with dental hygiene.
The following is the information the WAG has published about this:
“Designed to Smile – A national oral health improvement programme to improve the dental health of children in Wales.
The Welsh Government is determined to tackle oral health inequalities. Designed to Smile aims to reduce the gap between the oral health of children from the most deprived and the least deprived families in Wales.
Designed to Smile encourages children to brush their teeth daily with a fluoride toothpaste to reduce the levels of tooth decay. The scheme is delivered by the Community Dental Service in schools and nurseries in some of our most disadvantaged communities where chronic tooth decay is worst.”
